SAFETY – HEALTH – ENVIRONMENT POLICY

According to our environmentally sensitive energy production policy, our main principles are; to protect the environment and with the concious that our staff are the most important values for us, to provide them safe and healthy working environment.

With this consciousness we, herewith, take the following obligations;


» To avoid pollution and danger in advance by chosing and using processes and equipment which are causing less pollution and danger,

» To avoid pollution at the source by using high quality fuel and advanced burning technologies. To discharge wastewater and cooling water with minimum effect on the existing water quality,

» By using advanced flue gas treatment technologies to have emission values which are lower than the legal limits,

» To separate our wastes according to their nature, to recycle them and if receycling is not possible than dispose them with minimum impact to environment,

» In the disposal of ash and gypsum, to use recycling technologies which do not have adverse effect on the environment and which have contribution to national economy,

» To take necessary actions to protect our employees, contractors and visitors from probable dangers and to train them accordingly,

» To make emergency action plans and to share these plans with our neighbour companies and authorities,
